It's just starting to become real to me, that I'm going to be living in CHINA for 4 months. I'm simultaneously terrified and so over-the-moon excited. Even as I make all of these preparations for basically putting my entire life on hold from mid-August until Christmas, it still seems so impossible to me that something I have dreamed about for so long is happening. I've had so many dreams come true in the last year or two. I feel so incredibly blessed. If my 14 year old self could see me now, I'd like to think I'm making her proud :)
Enough blogging for now. I have so much hw and China paperwork to finish. I'm going to update this blog a few more times before I leave, but I hope to blog almost every day while I'm in China. I'm also hoping that this blog site won't be blocked by the Chinese firewall. I also won't have Facebook while I'm in China so emailing me at amandakdewey@gmail.com or following this blog are the best ways to keep in contact with me while I'm away :)
